By usage of ANSI/ASE recommendations for optimal traction together with empirically determined influence of drawbar pull on vertical dynamic load on axles, taht differs from static loads, the paper proposes simple method for optimal tyre pressure determination. Obtained pressures will give optimal traction during previously chosen speed. The method is illustrated on all wheel drive tractor with trailing, mounted and semi-mounted implements on firm, tilled and soft soils.
