Variability and precision of assessment of taxation elements in high beech stands in the area of Severni Kucaj and Boranja [Serbia]

The variability and precision of assessment of tree taxation elements was researched in beech stands of seed origin by the sample method. Five characteristic stands were selected based on their diameter and height structure. They are all-age beech stands, with an insignificant percentage of other tree species. Stand inventory was measured on the systematic distribution of sample plots, area of 500 square meter. The size of the sample was from 154 to 315 trees. The coefficient of variation of tree volume was from 92% to 120%. Average variation coefficient was 110% and double relative error +/- 13.5%, for the sample of 265 trees.
