Tuning of PI controller parameters for the control of absorption oil temperature in process of vegetable oil production

This paper deals with setting up of PI controller parameters for temperature control. The complete procedure is explained, from process characteristics recording, along mathematiucal model forming, controller parameters defining and simulation of the system with tuned controller behavior up to real process implementation and tuned process data recording. In this paper eight different procedures for PI controller setting up is considered, and four of them were tested in real process environment. Results shows that with the right choosing of controller parameters very rare process could be accurately controlled without oscillations and long transient regimes.
