Hail damage on the prevalent crops on the territory of Vojvodina [Serbia]: [Doctoral dissertation]

The paper examines hail damage on corn, sunflower, wheat and sugar beet, which is calculated in terms of quantity, finance and the growing area. It focuses on the difference between hail damages depending on the periods, subperiod and the examined year. Standard statistical methods are used for the analysis, such as: calculation of average values, calculation of the change rate, calculation of the variation ratio, calculation of the variation interval and calculation of the basic index. The application of the mentioned methods showed that the most endangered region is the South Backa region with the largest damage scale in terms of quantity, area and finance.
