Identification of the SR position at eggs markets of East Europe Countries before the EU accession

The contribution evaluates eggs position at the markets of East Europe and EU Countries. Poland conduces to the total eggs production of candidate countries with the biggest share (49%). Hungary (18%) and the Czech Republic (17%) are also very significant eggs producers of the East Europe. The share of Slovakia in the total eggs production of candidate countries reached 6%. In 2002, the Czech Republic was the largest eggs exporter out of candidate countries, it exported 5% of the total domestic production. Poland succeeded to the Czech Republic with 1,6% and the third position was Slovakia with the 1% share of eggs export from the domestic production.
