Idoxacarb (Avaunt 15(R) SC) as a material represents a new class of compounds called oxidiazines. According to its characteristics, mode of action and minimized eco-risks it belongs to the group of pesticides best suited to application in IPM plant protection programs. The aim of this investigation was to find optimal terms and rates of application in control of codling moth (Cydia pomonella), economically most important pest of temperate fruit. During 2003, in the conditions of high humidity and low population pressure of pest, Avaunt 15(R) SC was highly efficient. In these eco-conditions interruption in entry tunnels of larvae was registered.
