Fruit bearing of some strawberry cultivars

This study presents three-years results (2003-2006) of fruit bearing for strawberry cultivars: Favet, Miss, Marmolada and Elsanta. Studies were carried out in the area of Zeljusa near Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The differences were spotted in the examined weight of fruit and fruit bearing per plant of strawberry cultivars. The smallest fruit weight and fruit bearing per plant were registered with Favet cultivar (17.22 g, 0.4640 kg/tiller), while the biggest weight of the fruit and fruit bearing per plant were registered with Marmolada cultivar (26.66 g, 0.6589 kg/tiller). From the point of view of examined parameters cultivar Marmolada was the best and as such it may be recommended for cultivaton in these agro-ecological conditions. The other cultivars showed satisfying results.
