Method of draught measurement of nursery machines was presented. The device used for draught measurement of the machines operating elements was made in the Department of forest works mechanisation. It allows measurement of forces acting on the tillage element in two planes (longitudinal and vertical). Machinery draught was also determined by measurement of the pulling force during hauling the aggregate by another tractor. Output signals from strain gauges both from the measuring frame and from the rope were amplified and recorded in Apek-al-154 interface and transferred into personal computer. This paper presents the results of measurements for knife root pruning machine and the force distribution in the aggregate.
