The work evaluates the 25 year influence of mild thinning from above, with positive selection, repeated after each 5 years on the development trends in the growing stock, on the overall abo-veground biomass production, proportion of promising trees and leaf area index (LAI) in various stand types of chestnut on the PRP series in Lefantovce (Forest Enterprise TopoKianky, Forest District Nitrianska Streda).
