Searching for new crop in feeding animals was in progress especially in alfalfas and Clovers from the upper northern Thailand. Collection and selection was conducted at the Royal Angkhang station and National Corn and Sorghum Center, Thailand during 1998-2000. New clover strains were collected and increased for preservation through seed under 5-25 deg C at 40 percent RH for 1-8 months in aluminium foil container. The results indicated that aluminium foil container was not a good container for clover seed preservation and the hard seededness was found to be involved in this study. In growth chamber, alfalfa growth rate was found to be among high in IFMP 799 783 and 783 varieties. And Apollo, IFMP 876, 846 were also high in dry matter percentage among the test varieties. Other protein content were analysed among those alfalfa lines and IFMP 841 possessed the highest protein content.
