Effect of paclobutrazol on flowering induction of 18-month-old Eucalyptus camaldulensis seedlings was carried out at Silvicultural Research Center No.3, Amphur Tamuang, Kanchanaburi province. The trees were treated with different paclobytrazol dose rates of 1, 1.5 and 2 g (a.i.)/tree using a single collar drench method in January 2001. The results showed that paclobutrazol at all rates were able to induce floral buds in which the trees started flowering in August 2001. However, the dose rate of 1.5 g (a.i.)/tree had shown highest effect on flowering by which the tree produced the average number of 913 umbels, while the controlled tree had only 21 umbels. Base on statistical analysis, paclobutrazol at all dose rates significantly induced flowering of 18-month-old Eucalyptus camaldulensis.
