Influence of copper snd Fusarium culmorum on proline content in wheat
2007
Bogoeva, I.
The paper deals with the disturbance in plants caused by Cu and Fusarium culmorum. A greenhouse experiment in pots was carried out, using an allivial-meadow type of soil, where Cu ions were introduced in three concentrations: 150, 400 and 600 mg.kg-1. Soil was also infected with Fusarium culmorum pathogen. Proline content was determined at two phase of plant development: -2-3 leaf and 5-6 leaf. Proline accumulation was magnified with the increase of the applied copper dose into the soil. An enhancement of the stress situation in the plants, as a result of the two factors combination - heavy metal presence and F. culmorum infection was also observed. Proline synthesis was higher at the early phase of wheat development.
