Comparative study of the cocentration of total protein in goats, determinated by three modifications of Biuret method
2007
Zapryanova, D. | Dinev, T. | Mircheva, T.
The aim of the present study was to determine how the used methods influence on total protein concentration (TP) in goats. The present study provides the results of the three commonly used methods for TP measurement. The experiments were carried out with 6 healthy female goats (Bulgarian white dairy goat breed), at the age of 1.5-4 years, weighed 35.9 ± 3.39 kg. The measurements were performed by spectrophotometry, using commercial laboratory kits of Human Diagnostica (Germany), modification of Biuret method by Popov and by Kolb. Serum concentration determined by Popovґ s method was significantly (P 0.05) higher than method of Kolb. The results received with laboratory kits were the high results, while these by the method of Kolb were the low.
