Two cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L. ) cultivars i.e Sahel and Siokra were grown over a 2 year period on field of Cotton Research Station, Hashem-abad, Gorgan. Recommended rate of tree kinds of P fertilezers including diamonium phosphate, single supper phosphate and triple supper phosphate were applied at seedling, using banded and broadcast placement methods. Check treatment had no P fertilizer. Factorial expreimnt with randomized complete block design ( 3 replications ) was used to analize of data. P fertilizer application and P source had no significant effect on seed yield and yield components. Banded application of P gave better results compared to another method of placement. Although boll weight of Sahel was higher than of Siokra, but boll nomber per plant and total yield were higher for Siokra. Interaction effects of factors resulted more total yield as follows: a- P fertilizer and banded placement of P b- Triple supper phosphate and Siokra cultivar c- Banded placement of P and Siokra cultivar Finally, the highest total yield was obtained by interaction effect between triple supper phosphate, banded application of P and Siokra cultivar.
