In order to investigate on the effect of the replacement of current surface irrigation system by drip irrigation on amount of water consumption, yield and water use efficiency of different crops (WUE) a study was conducted in 15 farms of farmers of Khorasan Razavi province in 2006. In this research the results have been compared via the comparison of averages. The results of analysis showed that the maximum and the minimum of yield percentage increased 21% for potato and 9% sugar beet. The maximum of water consumption was observed in green corn cultivation and the minimum in tomato farms with about 49% and 34% respectively. Water use efficiency in green corn that was increased to 116% and tomato, sugar beet and potato cultivation respectively with 98%, 92% and 83% respectively. In average the amount of irrigation water applied throgh the drip irrigation decreased 33.9% for sugarbeet, green corn, tomato and potato and yield increased 9.2%- 21.1% accordingly, WUE increased 83.2% to 116.3%.
