Tetranychus cinnabarinus (Boisduval) and T. urticae Koch are important pests of cut ornamental flowers (Carnation, Rose, Gladiolus) in the world. Glasshouse conditions keep mite pests active through out the year with noticeable symptom of injuries on ornamental plant parts. An evaluation on control effects of different acaricides doses mixed with Citowett® oil investigated on active stages of carnation spider mite population. Seventeen treatments were chosen in factorial method of randomize complete design in four replications. Selected treatments and their doses were as follow, fenazoquin (Pride®) SC 20% (0.3, 0.4, 0.5 ml/lit), fenpyroximate (Ortus®) SC 5% (0.4, 0.5, 0.6 ml/lit + 0.5 and 10 ml/lit Citowett 100%), propargite (Omite®) EC 57% (0.7, 1, 1.25 ml/lit), hexythiazox EC 10% (0.3, 0.5, 0.6 ml/lit) and abamectin (Vertimec) EC 1.8% (0.15, 0.20, 0.25 ml/lit + Citowett 100% 2.5 ml/lit). Analysis of variance done on mean mortality % of active spider mite stages which indicated that, higher control effects by fenazoquin (0.4 ml/lit), fenpyroximate (0.5ml/lit + 10 ml/lit Citowett®), propargite (1 ml/lit) and abamectin (0.20 ml/lit + Citowett 2.5 ml/lit). Analysis of variance on collected data also placed them in group of according to Duncan's multiple rang test. Positive control measured received with lower acaricidal doses + Citowett oil on spider mite in glasshouse. In present study, mixed applications of minimum dose of fenpyroximate o.5 ml/lit +Citowett 10 ml/lit (1%), fenazoquin (0.4 ml/lit) and abamectin (0.20 ml/lit + Citowett 2.5 ml/lit) caused highest mite mortality % of 95.54, 95.44 and 92.65 respectively. Results of mite control suggested that, random applications of effective acaricides doses reduced cost of control and protect better further spider mite resistance in glasshouses.
