Final evaluation and comparision of selected sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) Hybrids.

Two set of twenty three sunflower single cross hybrids derived from crosses between CMS lines and new Restorers lines, plus Azargol and Ketil hybrids, as check varieties, (25 genotype), were evaluated in two expriments, each one in two locations. One of them (first expriment)in Karaj and zarghan, and another one(second expriment) in Karaj and Gonbad station were conducted. Experimental design was a simple squares lattice with two replications. Agronomic traits were recorded during growing season. Economical traits as seed and oil yields measuerd after harvesting.Data analyses and mean comparisons for some important traits were made . The most suitable hybrids were selected for future final experiments. First expriment results showed that CMS19*RHA-445 CMS19*R-Rha-699, in Karaj, and CMS31*RHA –445, were the best combinations in Zarghan. The results of simple corrolation test for 29 traits wase shown in (table –3). Seed yield was corrolated, with plant height, and head diameter significiently in Karaj. Seed yield corrolated significiently with 1000 seed weight. in Zarghan Second expriment results showed that CMS19* R-1031, CMS19* R-1048 in Karaj, and Ketil, C.M.S.19*R-817 and C.M.S.19*R-980 hybrids in Gonbad, had the highest yield . Simple corrolation in Karaj showed that, seed yield corrolated with 1000 seed weight, head diameter,and plant height significiently in Karaj. Seed yield corrolated significiently with 1000seed weight, and head diametet in Gonbad.
