The experiment was conducted to improve the selection efficiency in the first generation through the analysis of variation patterns of major tuber characteristics when raising hybrid seedling using the different plug cell size. The correlations in related to yield characteristics between the first and second generations were not found. However, highly-significant correlations for specific gravity was found in all different plug cell size. The most highly-significant correlation was showed in the tray with 32 holes.
