Usage of information technologies and development of electronic public service in Lithuania

Creating of information society is closely related with development of information technologies. Today the differences between city and rural areas are marked according to index of information society development as computers' and Internet usage. Apparent differences are in information technologies' usage according to age groups, education, incomes etc. Lithuanian people and business enterprises not enough communicates with administrative institutions. People most widely use information public service, so are important the questions of a quality of electronic information content and the development of electronic information service. The public service of the second and the third level is popular. They are related with employment, incomes declaration, entering the high schools, Internet libraries, social care and dispensation of requests service. An article describes the supplying of people with computers and the possibilities of Internet usage, the transferring of main public service to electronic space and the questions of its accessibility for users.
