The chlorophyll content of spring rape (Brassica napus L.) variety Licolly was compared in field experiments in respect to the mineral nutrition and seed yield. The content of leaf chlorophyll was detected during seven phenophases: 3rd, 5th, 8th leaf, rosettes, generative buds, anthesis and silique development. The results show maintenance of high level of chlorophyll at the reproductive phases critical for seed filling. The chlorophyll content in leaves of spring oilseed rape has to be used as an early indicator to predict the efficiency of application of different fertilizers. The application of macronutrients (Phosfik) and micronutrients (DDP) fertilizers in soil and through leaves increased the yield and the quality of rape seed.
