Efficacy of Biosept 33 SL in limiting of alternariosis on potato (Alternaria spp.) grown in organic farm

The aim of research conducted in 2003-2004 was to assess the possibility of controlling of alternariosis (Alternaria spp.) of organically grown potato. During cropping season plants were sprayed with Biosept 33 SL, biopreparation containing 33 percent extract from seeds and flesh of grapefruit, which is allowed for use in organic production. Weather conditions were favourable for disease development. Lower intensity of disease symptoms was noted on plants treated with Biosept 33 SL. Statistically significant differences in comparison with control combination were observed, but treatment efficacy was not satisfactory
