The effect of N-K nutrition on the nutrients content in the growing medium and leaves of greenhouse tomato. Pt. 1. Spring cultivation

The effect of different forms of potassium fertilizer: KCl and K2SO4, and various doses of nitrogen on some nutrients content in medium and leaves of greenhouse tomato plants of cultivars Terra F1 and Cunero F1 was studied. The content of N-NO3, K, S-SO4 and Cl in the medium and plant leaves as well as pH and EC in the medium were determined. The highest concentration of salts in the medium (EC) was found when K2SO4 was used. No influence of Cl concentration in the medium on EC value was found. This was confirmed by insignificant correlation coefficients (r) for EC and Cl content in the medium, which were 0.072 and 0.180 for years 1999 and 2000, respectively. EC values were most affected by the content of potassium and nitrates in the medium
