The aim of the conducted analyse of soil texture classifications used presently, is to find substantial arguments to choose proper soil texture classification system in Poland. In this paper the relations between used systems (PSSS, state PN, and USDA systems) were analysed. USDA system is simpler than state PN, therefore the finding of proper equivalents of PSSS texture classes is easier in USDA system. State PN standard better reflects the texture diversity within soils developed from glacial materials, regolights of massive rocks and particularly, of soils developed from soil eolian materials, and is recommended to be the most adequate system of texture classification in Poland
