The aim of the present studies was to determine the influence of synthesis foam extinguishing agents used to extinguish forest fires on soil microflora. Additionally the effect of investigated chemical agents on pure strains of soil bacteria was also studied. The experiments showed that foam extinguishing agents decreased the number of bacteria, actinomycetes and fungi in the soil. The chemicals inhibited also the growth of pure strains of soil bacteria
