Comparison of various weed control methods of potato

The aim of undertaken research was comparison of the influence mechanical weeding and chemical weed control with herbicides application such as Basagram 600 SL and Sencor 70 WG (after emergences) and the new one - Plateen 41.5 WG (before emergences), on weed infestation and yield of potato tubers. The investigated factors were: I - weed control methods, the II - potato cultivars: Ania, Baszta, Rywal. The investigation showed that the application of herbicides significantly decreased number of weeds as compared with the numbers obtained for mechanical control. The highest tuber yield was obtained after application of Plateen 41.5 WG - 2.0 kg/ha and Sencor 70 WG
