Nitrogen content in aboveground biomass of two spring barley cultivars depending on nitrogen fertilization and sowing date

In years 2000-02 was conducted field experiment with spring barley in which were investigated influences of varieties (Rasbet, Rastik), sowing dates (early, delayed) and doses of nitrogen (0, 30, 60 and 90 kg N/ha) on nitrogen content in aboveground biomass of plants. Irrespective from variety, bigger nitrogen content in plants was found on objects with delayed sowing date, it grew as well with higher nitrogen doses. In the period of growth and development of barley plants nitrogen content in their biomass decreased up tillering phase to the beginning of plants maturity
