The aim of this research is was to determine is the effect of flat cover as well as different seed of sowing rate on corn salad yielding. The effect of covering the plants with non-woven polypropylene has been proved to increase the yield of the crop harvested at the earliest time possible, i.e. in June 3-4th. The cover has contributed largely to the increase of 23 percent in yield as compared to the uncovered plants. In the case of the earlier harvest time the best production results were obtained when applying the rate of seed sowing 7.0 kg per 1 ha. The higher vitamin C content was found in the leaves of corn salad grown in the uncovered field
