The study was conducted in monoculture of maize in 2003-05. Sulfonylurea herbicides: Titus 25 WG + Trend 90 EC, Maister 310 WG + Actirob 842 EC and Milagro 040 SC were applied when varieties of maize were at growth stage 3-4 leaves. The decolonization of leaves, wrinkles, chlorosis and deformation of plants were observed on varieties Reduta, Fatima and Limko. These injuries were durable and resulted in diseases and pests: Ustilago Maidis Corda, Fussarium spp. Ostrinia nubilalis and Oscinella Frit. and decrease of varieties was bigger than of standard variety Clarica. Damaged and injuried varieties by herbicides were susceptible to diseases, pests and qualitative changes of grain yield parameters
