The content of protein, fibre and fat as well as profile of fatty acids have been assayed in whole buckwheat nutlets obtained from a two-factors field experiment conducted in 2002-03. The experiment involved three Polish cultivars of buckwheat: Kora, Luba and Panda, as well as four variants applied of growth regulators: control object, Harvade 25 F at a dose of 3 cubic dm/ha, Spodnam 555SC at a dose of 1.5 cubic dm/ha and spraying treatment with a mixture of both preparations at half dose. Standard methods for determination of the analysed components were used. The buckwheat nutlets contained on average 13 percent d.m. of protein, 2.45 percent d.m. of fat, 3.31 percent d.m. of ash and 10.6 percent d.m. of crude fibre. Twelve fatty acids were determined in the plant material
