Summer flowering of common oak is a natural rarity, as it has been rarely observed over the wider area of its natural range of distribution. This paper analyses the microscopic characteristics of stomata on the leaves of one spring phase and two summer phases of growth of the tree with summer flowering and the neighbouring control tree without summer flowering. Based on the results of morphometric analysis of the stomatal density and stomatal dimensions, it can be concluded that the statistically significant differences in stomatal dimensions between the analysed trees are confirmed only in the spring growth stage.
