Available copper status in orchard and vineyard soils in the region of Srem [Serbia]

Soil samples taken from orchards and vineyards in the region of Srem (Serbia) have been analysed for main chemical properties including the content of available copper. All of the samples were well provided with copper. Copper content was increased in chernozem as compared with the brown forest soil. The samples from vineyards had an increased copper content, which is a consequence of the traditional use of copper-based preparations (copper sulphate) in grapevine protection.
