Potato belong to group of potatous class and it is very important for hill-mountainous areas in the Republic of Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina). The use of potato is diverse and important in nutrition of people and domestic animals, and for industry adaptation. For digestibility organic matter (83-97%), potato is on the first place between root-tuber crops. Energy value of 1 kg of potatoes is 3.470-3.890 J. For fodder use fresh and boiled potato, and silo cyma, also. In this labor are give qualitative characteristics of potato, dependent on variety, date of planting and mineral nutrition, and special attention is to consecrete to fraction structure, and they use in nutrition of domestic animals.
