On Sjenica-Pester plateau (Serbia) it was investigated the influence of quantity and time of mineral fertilizers application on productivity of natural and artificial grasslands as well as yield of legume (pea and vetch) and cereal (triticale) mixtures. Also, investigation of conservation biomass by ensiling from these fields was conducted. Natural and artificial grasslands in this region covered more than 90% from agricultural land (about 120.000 ha). Fodder on plowland covered only 1.8% but it is important resource for livestock feed because yield and quality is high. For natural grassland application N30P30K30 in spring increased yield for 1.5 t/ha DM, N60P30K30 applied in spring increased yield on average for 3.98 t/ha DM. Application N30 in fall and N30P30K30 in spring increase yield for 2.48 t/ha DM. In this case beginning of vegetation in spring was earlier but yield in comparison with the same quantity of nitrogen nutrient was lower. It does mean that some quantity of N is lost by leaching and/or denitrification. N45P45K45 and N90P45K45 applied on artificial grassland increased yield for 3.44 and 5.62 t/ha DM respectively. Yield of mixtures pea+triticale (8.30) was constantly higher than mixtures of vech+triticale (5.95 t/ha DM). Biomass were ensiled from legume + cereal mixtures (3), artificial grasslands (4) and corn (2). All silages from legume + cereal mixtures are in the first class (DLG), from artificial grassland two are in first
