Biosecurity measures on cattle farms

Preservation of health, welfare, and cattle production is common problem of stock keepers. Many different diseases outbreaks could be prevented by adequate measures, but they are enforced seldom. Although keeping necessary biosecurity level is not cheep, there are strong and justified reasons to enforce it. Also, animal welfare, self-conscience and way of thinking should be important motives for implementation of preventive measures. Strategies of biosecurity preventive measures application in dairy and cattle production are given in this paper.
