[Modeling the dynamics of organic matter in forest ecosystems]

Some modern approaches in mathematic modeling of non-linear dynamics of productional processes and biological cycle of elements in forest ecosystems have been considered. The available computational capabilities allow simulating the growth/developing each of 40-50 thousand models. Calculations are performed for the combination of simple space-positioned descriptive models for which the rules of interaction with neighbors are set. This allows analyzing the influence of specific exposures whose descriptions in the terms of average values are inadequate (for example, the influence of final cuttings, deadfalls and wild fires on local and regional levels). An analytical review is given for the dynamics models of organic soil matter and the structure of forest ecosystems. The integration of population and balance approaches allowed imitating scripts of conjoint development of silva and soil under changing the climate, fall of atmospheric nitrogen in various conditions of forest management in forest ecosystems of boreal and temperate zones. The forest ecosystem models exhibit a stabilizing role of soil and a feedback between the processes of organic matter decomposition in soil and silva productivity. The role of different type in accumulation and losses of carbon and nitrogen was demonstrated. The resistance of plant populations and communities in respect of forcing was analyzed allowing defining the critical conditions of existing natural plant populations of different life forms. There is given a prediction of forest ecosystem. As input data the standard data of forest taxation and weather data are used. A method is proposed to estimate the dynamic tendencies of carbon and its distribution in the maim components of forest ecosystem (forest stand, dead and fallen trees, forest litter, mineral soil horizons).
