Choice and segmentation of market places in Serbia by differentiation of vegetable price

Segmentation and classification of cities and market places of fresh vegetables are done according to the official figures from the system of market information of agriculture in Serbia (SMIAS). Segmentation is done according to the selling price of vegetables by the months and cities. All the cities (19 cities) are divided into four groups. Classification is done according to the height of fetched price and continuity of sale. As very attractive market places and cities will be considered those where the highest price and continual sale in the course of the year are achieved. Middle attractive market places will be those where continual sale and high prices are achieved only in seasonal months, whereas those with no continuity of sale and very low prices during the whole year will be deemed as the least attractive.
