This paper points out to the indicators of sustainable development and environment as the most important elements in achieving the goals of sustainable development. The indicators of environment show the condition and pressures on environment. Also shown is the classification of protected areas as one of the elements by which we can determine the value and importance of a certain area. Related to this, we consider protected areas as the indicator of biodiversity and its role on global level.
