Maize yield depended mainly on weed infestation. Maize yield decreased considerably in variants of weed infestation from sowing to full ripeness. In variants involving herbicide application, maize yield was very high and depended on fertilization rates. Maize yield was very high in the variants of infestation from sowing to the crop stage of 5-6 leaves, regardless of whether the herbicide was applied or not. Maize yield was low in all variants of infestation from sowing to the tasseling stage of the crop, regardless of whether the herbicide was used or not and depending mainly on weed density and weed dry biomass.
