The level of virulence against selected resistance genes of barley in the barley powdery mildew population

96 barley powdery mildew isolates were trapped using a mobile jet spore trap in the year 2004. These isolates were used for the study of their level of virulence against resistance genes of barley, that are common in the varieties grown in Slovakia. The genes Mla6, Mla7, Mla12, Mlg and MlLa are on the present overcome by almost 100% of the powdery mildew population. Out of the remaining genes tested the virulence level is low against the genes mlo, Mla3 and Mla1.
