Microbiological quality of raw cow milk from ecological and conventional cow breeding

The biggest portion of microorganisms in milk is presented by secondary contamination of milk by the means of milking and milk treatment. In our research we have compared microbiological quality of raw cow milk from ecological and conventional milk cow breeding. We have followed total number of microorganisms in the GTC agar, by 30 deg C and 72 hour,and number of coliform bacterias in Lactose Bile Salt agar, by 37 deg C and 48 hour. We have compared the obtained numbers of microorganisms with the Food Stuff Code of Slovak Republic.The statistics has showed there was a higher total number of microorganisms and coliform bacteria in biomilk.All investigated samples of biomilk and conventional milk were proved to be satisfactory according to the reguirements of the Food Staff Code of Slovak Republic.
