Doi Phuka National Park locates in Nan province with an area of approximate 1,600 square km consists of high mountainous ridges abundant with forest trees and is a very important watershed area. There ate many minorities inside the national park of which their indigenous and traditional knowledges are still mysterious and very much interesting to scientists. At persent, the national park is heavily disturbed and damaged by these minorities for upland agriculture. Besides destroying the unknown wild plant species this phenomena is also causing a tremendous disaster of increasing drought and flooded to the lowland area. The information and knowledges from the study on ethnobotanical knowledge of the minorities in Doi Phuka together with vegetation and flora study will be a very useful information for the appropriate management and wise use of these natural resources, sustainable usage, reforestation and conservation.
