A study on te effect of supplementation with the enzyme preparation Roxazyme G2 in compound feeds for broiler chickens with different sunflower meal content on their productive characteristics

The study aimed to test the effect of the supplementation of the enzyme preparation Roxazyme G2 in the compound feeds for broiler chickens with a higher level of sunflower meal. The supplementation of the enzyme preparation Roxazyme G2 was done with the intent to enhance the utilization of non-starch polysaccharides in the sunflower meal in compound feeds for broiler chickens. The feeding of isocaloric and isoprotein rations with higher sunflower meal contents (8, 10 and 17% for starter, grower and finisher diets) had no statistically significant effect on the live body weight of chickens and the feed conversion ratio. The production traits of broilers were practically identical after the Roxazyme G2 supplementation of feeds with higher sunflower meal content. The Roxazyme G2 supplementation of the compound feed with 8, 10 and 17% sunflower meal showed no advantages with regard to the productive traits of the broilers. The utilization of the compound feed with 8, 10 and 17% sunflower meal (starter/grower/finisher) with and without supplementation of Roxazyme G2 decreased the cost of the starter feed with 20.2 BGN/t; that of the grower feed with 9.40 and 2.60 BGN/t and that of the finisher feed - with 18.10 and 11.30 BGN/t.
