A Long-Term Stationary Experiment with Organic-mineral Fertilization in the Institute of Agriculture, Karnobat – Methodical Problems and Initial Data

This paper discusses some basic methodical problems for an 18-year long-term stationary experiment with fertilizers on Haplic Vertisols in the Institute of Agriculture – Karnobat. The experimental design and the contents of the experimental results data base are shown. Some results from the analysis of initial soil samples taken before the beginning of the experiment 1990 are presented. Some data for the grain yield from the first 15 years of the experiment 1990-2006 are also given. The possible directions of the obtained information are discussed in the light of its future applications for scientific inferences and in government decision-making.
