In herds with milk yield of 6,000-7,000 kg of milk per lactation, bulls with high potential of milk productivity showed their genetic qualities, and with that of 3,500-4,400 kg there were no such regularity. Duration of commercial using of females more depends on fathers, and milk yield in a number of lactations - on mothers' yields. Even with using different sire-bulls and level of cow feeding, there proved to be no regular correlation between milk yields during the first lactation and the following ones. Thus, evaluation and selection of sires should be made according milk yield of their daughters during a number of lactations in conditions corresponding to their potential of milk productivity
