[Comparative evaluation of biochemical composition of Сornus mas L. fruits introduced in the conditions of Belarus]

It is for the first time that comparative evaluation of biochemical composition of fruits of 4 varieties of Cornus mas L. of Ukrainian selection has been made. The study encompassed varieties Evgeniya, Vladimirskiy, Vydubctskiy and Radost (Syretskiy) introduced in the conditions of Belarus. The parameters studies include content of organic acids, carbohydrates and phenol compounds. It was showed that among tested Cornus mas L. varieties the highest content of dry substances is in the fruits of Radost (Syretskiy) variety; Vydubetskiy variety contain most of all organic acids, vitamin C, bioflavonoids and phenol carboxylic acids; the highest content of the soluble sugars is in Vladimirskiy variety. Combining all revealed advantages in biochemical composition of fruits, the varieties Vladimirskiy and especially Vydubetskiy are of the highest nutritive and vitamin value ones. The variety Evgeniya appeared to be the least interesting and promising one
