Control de Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith) con diferentes medios biológicos

espagnol; castillan. Se sembraron parcelas de maíz en la Estación Experimental "Alvaro Barba", en el mes de abril del 2000. Se le realizaron observaciones al cultivo cada 7 días, desde la germinación, para determinar el comportamiento de Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith). En el control de la plaga se utilizaron los entomófagos Telenomus sp. y Euplectus plathyhypenae (How.) y los entomopatógenos Bacillus thuringiensis (Ber.) y Heterorhabditis indica. El uso de entomófagos en el control de S. frugiperda y su combinación con B. thuringiensis mostraron mejor efectividad que cuando se realizaron aplicaciones de los entomopatógenos.

Observations to the crop were made every 7 days in order to determine the behavior of Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith). In the pest control, the entomofagous Telenomus sp. and Euplectus plathvhtipenae (How.) as well as the entomopatogens Bacillus thuringiensis (Ber.) and Heterorhabditis indica were used. The entomofagous use in the control of S. frugiperda and its combination with B. thuringiensis showed better effectiveness that when applications of the entomopatogens were carried out.
