The field experiment was carried out to study influence of nutrients on seed yield and cost benefit ratio in cucumber during kharif 1999. The results indicated that application of 120 : 80 : 50 kg NPK/ ha (N call sub3 P call sub2 K call sub1) recorded significantly higher number of fruits (3.28 vine compared to all other treatment combinations. Similarly the treatment combination 90 : 50 : 110 kg NPK/ ha (N call sub2 P call sub1 K call sub3) recorded higher fruit yield (168.9 q/ha) compared to all other treatment combinations. Application of phosphorus at 80 kg/ha recorded higher seed recovery (0.56) and seed yield (72.6 kg/ ha) than lower dose of phosphorus (50 kg/ ha) with values 0.51 per cent and 61.8 kg/ ha respectively. Combined application of nutrients the treatment N call sub3 P call sub2 K call sub1 recorded more seed yield (87.6 kg /ha and benefit cost ratio compared to other treatment combinations except N call sub2 P call sub2 K call sub3 (84.1 kg/ ha)
