In order to determine role of chemical in removing lack of chilling requirement, a research was done on pistachio (Akbari cultivar) in two regions of Rafsanjan (Anar and Koshkooeieh) during years 2001-2003. The chemicals used in this study were different components of mineral oil (Volk), sodium benzoate, soybean oil and potassium nitrate. After using 15 different chemical treatments, characteristics such as ounce, weight of 100 nuts, nut splitting and non splitting percentage, blank percentage, fresh crop weight per tree were investigated. Obtained data were analyzed in randomized complete block design with 3 replications on combined analysis method in the two regions during three years. The final results showed that soybean oil 6% and sodium benzoate 0.1% + potassium nitrate 0.5% + volk oil 5% decreased ounce 1.38 and 1.01, blank percentage 3.5 and 2.28 and increased weight of 100 nuts 7.1 and 5.6 gr, fresh crop weight per tree 2.8 and 7 kg respectively and significantly compare with control treatment. Study of treatment effects on morphologic characters showed soybean oil has less negative effects on pistachio compare with volk oil.
