A faunistic survey on syrphid fauna have been done in Mazandaran province during 1381-1382. 36 species were identified which belonged to 27 genera and two subfamilies(Syrphinae and Milesiinae). 6 genera and 15 species are the first records for iran insects fauna which have been marked with (*) and Sphaerophoria scripta had more frequency than other predator species.
