In order to evaluate the effect of plant density, planting arrangement and their interaction on yield and yield components of Karaj 700 corn variety, this experiment was laid out in Hamadan, during 1384 and 1385 cropping seasons. Three plant densities (70, 80 and 90 plant per m2) and three planting arrangements (single row and two double rows: in parallel and zigzag forms, on ridge) were studied in a split plot analysis based on randomized complete block design. Measured traits were: days to germination, pollination and silking, kernel row per ear, kernel per row, thousand kernel weight, kernel yield, kernel humidity and percent of ear wood. Result showed that plant density had a significant effect on yield. According to plant density increasing yield was increase and maximum amount of it was occurred at 9 plants per m2. Planting arrangement had a significant effect on yield and kernels per ear row, the greatest amount of the traits were occurred in single row and double rows in zigzag forms planting arrangement respectively. At the end, mean squire for phenotypic variance of plant density and planting arrangement interaction on plant height, ear height and kernel row per ear were significant.
